It’s amazing how much vacations mean more when you own your own business. And it’s also amazing how much less relaxing they end up being when you have a child. And then how bittersweet it turns when your hubs has to stay home to spend insane hours at the office cramming on a huge project. But despite the empty pillow next to me, the long drive to and from, and the limited sleep – it was all worth the moments sitting on the back patio doing nothing but watch the duck families waddle all over the backyard and splash in the pond, plus who doesn’t love little bunnies darting in and out of the bushes? Epic family meal preparations with every sort of seafood you can imagine, snapping pop-its and hooting and hollering on the way to the bay to watch Fourth of July fireworks, circling the inside of the house finding all sorts of treasures that previously sat in my Grandparent’s New York home, and walking the town poking in and out of adorable shops. I am so grateful for the short time away with my family visiting relatives! It doesn’t happen often enough.
I absolutely ADORE Cape Cod. I’d live there in a heartbeat.
