A Finished Warehouse

We were so tremendously excited to have Rachel Lyn photograph the warehouse for a Made With Love feature! We are over the moon with how our space has come together and we feel like pinching ourselves every day that we get to walk inside! And yet, at the same time, it feels so perfect for us and so natural to be working there already! We’ve shared some bits and pieces below of the various elements amongst all these gorgeous images from Rachel. Keep scrolling for more:

We got a coupon from Overstock for the recent move because of our change of address through the postal service, and I had always imagined that we would have a swing in the studio of some kind, so when I stumbled upon these babies for $35 each, I knew it was a match made in heaven. We love them to pieces!

These butcher block tables on caster wheels were a custom project we commissioned by the owners of Everything Vintage a few hours south of us. We were hoping for rolling tables that allowed for flexibility in moving them about the space and also a particular height and length that allowed for several students to be perched at each for future workshops and easy designing! We couldn’t be happier with how these came out. We picked up stools that slide perfectly underneath at IKEA! Several hours of assembling later and DONE!

This wall was a ton of work, but HEAPS of awesome! We are so happy with the finished product. If you remember from a previous post with before images, this was a half wall (our bathroom is behind this area!). So Lauren and the crew framed our first ever wall and installed that up top to stretch this to reach the ceiling! We added these letters we found at a booth in Eastern Market that we had been saving. Then we worked up some DIY projects like the peg wall for our flower spreadsheets and notes and recipes during production and the pipe paper roll dispenser for writing out notes and important things to remember during the weeks! We store all our floral tools and ribbons in the pull drawers below. We are stationed in front of this space so often each day and it’s been so functional for us.

It’s kind of hard to see back there, but THE SINK was one of the biggest upgrades for us! We’ve never had a sink so big and so accessible in all our other nearly 6 years of business, so this has been such an amazing thing to have. A tremendous blessing! And that metal prep table all the way on the right was the first ever table that Lauren designed on when she first learned to arrange from her mentor, Tammy! It was an amazing gift a couple of years ago when Tammy helped shipped this piece up to us for Lauren to have for always!

Coffee bar for the win! This is our little break room area where we store all our kitchen goodies and snacks and teas and dishes (and wine). The cupboard is from IKEA and the legs are from Pretty Pegs! The mirror is from Pier 1 a while ago with a pretty coat of Miss Mustard Seed Milk paint!

Our friend Rebecca Gallop found this glorious rug while antiquing and was hanging on to it for something fun, and we ended up convincing her to release it to us so we could have it in our space! It’s a perfect way to separate our consult/meeting space and we love the warmth it adds! We vacuum it weekly. Probably should be daily. The table is from an antique store and we painted it black, the chairs are from Overstock, and the shelving is classic bracket shelving that we painted black and boards that we cut, sanded, and stained grey!
