Flower Fundraising for Food for Others

We spent a second day of fundraising via a flower drive-thru pop-up station and raised just shy of $6,000 (totalling nearly $13,000 over two days!) for the amazing organization Food for Others who is a local Virginia food bank that feeds tons of families daily!

We completely ran out of blooms on Day 1 of fundraising for DC Dream Center, but thanks to the amazing wholesalers we work with each week –– DVFlora and Potomac Floral Wholesale –– we were completely stocked up again with flowers and greenery. We spent an hour frantically processing THOUSANDS of stems of beautiful blooms and pulled in help from prednisone and sweet friends Haylie (wander and whimsy), Sue (white magnolia designs who also brought some unused event flowers with her), and Amanda (a. morgan events) who helped us cruise through nearly 300 designs in just few short couple hours!

Featured on ABC7 News, Curate, People Magazine, and Katie Couric’s Wake-Up Call Newsletter

So beyond grateful for every smiling face we encountered today. You’ve lifted our souls and we hope the beautiful flowers we were given sustain you and bring some daily joy. You’ve made such a difference.
